Cottage Style Party & Merry Christmas!

I've had this post ready for awhile but couldn't decide if I wanted to post it on Christmas Eve.

I thought I might give you all a break....ha!

Then I noticed other bloggers were posting early.
So I decided on a compromise....
an abbreviated version of this post, posted early.

On a recent quest for simple and cheap holiday decor I found myself at the Dollar Tree looking at their Christmas display of goodies.

I found many things (how do those dollars add up so quickly?) for decorating my tree and packages.

But I needed something for my front windows.
I tried battery candles that did not work and electric candles that required fiddling with cords that did not work.

Then I found these...

...hanging on a peg at the Dollar Tree!

I had a vision of a simple, yet sparkly wreath to hang in my windows.

A 10 second wreath that looks sparkly in the window even at 8am!

Now that is my kind of simple holiday decorating!

Hello Friends!

Welcome to this weeks

Cottage Style Party!

#76

Merry Christmas!

How is everyone's holiday going?

I spent the weekend baking Christmas cookies.
Most of those cookies will be given away as gifts in the next few days.

I do not need cookies hanging around my cottage all winter!

No matter how yummy they are!

As I mentioned above, I'm posting this party a little bit early this week so you can spend time with you families and away from your computer.

So let's get this party started!

This is such a warm and welcoming fireplace it makes me want to cozy up to it with a cup of hot cocoa!

Stop in for Just A Little Southern Hospitality to see more of her holiday home and don't miss her red transfer ware!

This lovely chandelier is decorated so prettily for the holidays!
The green and blue jewels dangling from this lamp just shine in the light from the window.

And don't you just love the dainty snowflakes?
Drop by The French Hens Nest to see more holiday decorations and the wintery scene outside the windows!

This is Debbie's bathroom. Yes, that's right, her bathroom! And it is decked out for the holidays! You can almost find the fixtures in here.
