Blooming This Week ~ Hydrangeas & More!

There's no surprise this week, the hydrangeas are blooming! So wonderful, to go from peonies one week to hydrangeas the next. Nature could not have performed any better this year. That's not all that's blooming in the garden...

Stunning color combo!
Large flowered deep yellow daylily with dark weigela leaves.

Shasta daisies & Rum Punch Coreopsis

Butterfly bush blooming behind the daisies and garden bench.

Love this potted color combo of lime and purple!

On to the hydrangeas...

Turning pink!

This is the third year for this bush next to the front steps.

It's covered in luscious pink blooms!

Hydrangeas on one side of the walk, lavender on the other...divine!

Christmas with the Kitties 2011

Daisy under the Christmas tree.

If you read my last post, you know that Christmas with the kitties was a little more somber this year. Not as much frolicking as in previous holidays, but still some memorable kitty moments.

I have no idea what was so attractive about this toy:

I'm thinking it was laced with catnip because that last face looks like catnip overload!

Must pass the new kitty toy sniff test.

Olive casting a wary look at the new fishing rod kitty toy.

Still not sure about the fishing rod.

Olive kitty plays with a dingle ball while Daisy sniffs the ribbon.

The wrappings are as good as the toys.

If we have to, we will play.

This years tree before the craziness!
