There's no surprise this week, the hydrangeas are blooming! So wonderful, to go from peonies one week to hydrangeas the next. Nature could not have performed any better this year. That's not all that's blooming in the garden...
Stunning color combo!
Large flowered deep yellow daylily with dark weigela leaves.
Shasta daisies & Rum Punch Coreopsis
Butterfly bush blooming behind the daisies and garden bench.
Love this potted color combo of lime and purple!
On to the hydrangeas...
Turning pink!
This is the third year for this bush next to the front steps.
It's covered in luscious pink blooms!
Hydrangeas on one side of the walk, lavender on the other...divine!

Love pink or blue hydrangeas! Have heard that it depends on the acid in the soil whether the color (pink I believe) becomes more intense. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI noticed our hydrangeas just beginning to put out buds yesterday and I am so excited. They are definitely my favorite flower and I look forward to cutting them for inside. Your butterfly bush is so pretty peeking out behind your bench. I'm sure that must be a wonderful place to sit with a cup of tea and a book. Linda
