What's Blooming at the Cottage - Mid-July

It's the middle of July, the middle of summer and the temperatures are hot! Yesterday my indoor thermomter said my front porch was this:

That temp below, 82.4, was indoors where the air conditioning could not keep up.

Daisy, the kitty, took it easy:

"What? I'm cooling my belly!"

So, what's blooming?

Let's take a peek...

Glads and tall phlox.

Purple bee balm with petunias.

Our newest bee balm in a pinkish raspberry color. This one seems to be most popular with the bees.

This patch of coneflowers almost hides the neighbors ugly chain link fence.

This daylily just keeps pumping out the blooms!

Summer Vintage Hat

Let me just say...I adore this vintage hat! I can't even remember where I bought it or what I paid for it. I probably got it at a flea market somewhere for very little money. I've never worn it but it does decorate the coat tree in my living room. For summer, it is perfect for hanging on my vintage 40's cottage bench (which I do remember where I got it and the price: free from the curb!).
