What's Blooming This Week - Dog Days of Summer Edition!

This is quite possibly the hottest week we will have all summer. With highs in the mid to upper 90’s, real-feel temps hovering at 110° or higher and no rain in weeks, the dog days have arrived!

And, yet, the garden is still blooming! Have a peek…

Coneflowers and tall phlox still look'n good!

Old fashioned sweet peas against the neighbors barn!
(I am the only one who sees it so I claim it as my own...)

Butterfly bush starting to put on a show!

Baby's Breath peeking through Brown-eyed Susans

Fennel in bloom! (smells wonderful!)

Fennel reaches for the early morning moon while a bee comes in for a landing.

  3. I love the fennel. I see it growing on all the roadsides where we live in California but didn't have the nerve to plant any this year.
