What’s Blooming This Week – Early October

Here it is early October, the leaves are changing
and the mums are blooming. Despite the early frost
last weekend, some annuals are still in bloom.

Let’s take a peek…

Flower of the Day - Coral Daisy Hardy Mammoth Mums




Today's flower of the day is Coral Daisy Hardy Mammoth Mums. Mums are a fall favorite for decorating. They usually bloom in this fall standard colors of rust, gold, purple and deep red. But this beauty is a lovely soft coral pink color! Coral Daisy will grow up to 5' across in full sun to part shade for lucky zones 3-9.

Flower of the Day - Chrysanthemum Clara Curtis




Today's flower of the days is Chrysanthemum Clara Curtis. This pretty pink daisy-like flower blooms in mid-summer through fall when most other perennials have stopped flowering. It blooms best in full sun for lucky zones 5-8.
