This is quite possibly the hottest week we will have all summer. With highs in the mid to upper 90’s, real-feel temps hovering at 110° or higher and no rain in weeks, the dog days have arrived!
And, yet, the garden is still blooming! Have a peek…
Coneflowers and tall phlox still look'n good!
Old fashioned sweet peas against the neighbors barn!
(I am the only one who sees it so I claim it as my own...)
Butterfly bush starting to put on a show!
Baby's Breath peeking through Brown-eyed Susans
Fennel in bloom! (smells wonderful!)
Fennel reaches for the early morning moon while a bee comes in for a landing.
Lovely flowers going on right now. Love the combo of the Coneflowers and Phlox.

So beautiful! You're butterfly bush is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love the fennel. I see it growing on all the roadsides where we live in California but didn't have the nerve to plant any this year.
ReplyDeleteLovely!

Thanks for linking up to Cottage Flora Thursday's Garden Party! Wishing i too had a butterfly bush as pretty as yours! They just got so large for my small garden. Trying out the Blue Chip Butterfly Bush - just seems to be taking forever to bloom...love the color of yours! xoxo, tracie
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of lovely flowers, I'm always curious to see what grows in other people's gardens so thanks for the quick peek!

Love those sweetpeas! Don't they look right against a faded old barn? :)
