Today's flower of the day is Shasta Daisy Ice Star. Doesn't this daisy look just like a frilly coneflower? A double daisy, this beauty blooms July through September. It is perfect for cut flowers and never needs deadheading. It blooms best in full sun in lucky zones 4-8.
Happy gardening!
Love the "Daisy"...my favorite flower :)

I love daisies but this is an equisite daisy.
ReplyDeleteVery Very pretty picture.

I bought this daisy when I was shopping for a "regular" Shasta daisy. I was surprised to see this truly mum-like daisy appear this spring. I am glad to know its real name now, "Shasta Daisy Ice Flower".
ReplyDeleteI am well into Zone 9, and this flower has been blooming well since about the 3rd week of April.
