I never tire of watching butterflies in my garden!
I planted 3 butterfly bushes so I would have plenty of places to watch them.
I haven't a clue what kind of butterfly this is, but how pretty!
A short little stubby one!
This one is bigger than the flower!
Still hungry!
A new friend for Daisy!
Hey! Where'd ya go?
This week I am linking to:
I love the photos...especially kitty :) Found you on the Garden Party!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture of the cat and butterfly.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! Our cats love to watch the butterflies too!
ReplyDeleteFIRST I am in awe of your butterflies and thinking "OH what a great capture...what a beautiful photo" and next I am CRACKING up at your cat
ReplyDeleteBeen a stressful day at work and a flat tire on the way home / I NEEDED YOUR POST RIGHT NOW...thanks for the laughter :)
Glad I could provide a laugh! The whole time I was zooming in for the shot, I had to say "bad girl" and "don't touch" so my photo ham of a kitty wouldn't take a swipe at the butterfly! Thankfully, no butterflies were harmed while taking these photos...and no kitties...
DeleteAnd was this flat tire Tuesday? I had one too...ARGH!
Hi Etsy, that is also my preoccupation during weekends I am at home in the province, watching and phtographing butterflies. We don't have butterfly bush here but we have lots of nectar flowers loved by butterflies. In our garden the most loved is Duranta erecta. I've also posted them in previous post in Andrea in this Lifetime. You will see the differences of our species. That first photo of a swallowtail is very common in US blogs these days, almost everyone post it.
ReplyDeleteI also have a Daisy.. yours is so sweet sitting
ReplyDeletethere just watching the butterfly.. great shot.

Just found your blog through Fishtail Cottage's Garden Party and will be following, looking forward to more posts and pics! You can visit me at pinkcherubmoon.blogspot.com if you'd like. Enjoy the weekend! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteButterflies are wonderful .. so beautiful and each different. Love your Daisy and the butterfly! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteThe top butterfly is a black swallowtail, and you've captured lovely pictures of them all. How cute is Daisy and friend!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to recommend 'The Life Cycles of Butterflies' by Judy Burris & Wayne Richards, an excellent resource to ID not only the butterflies, but their larval stage as well.
Thank you for sharing these gorgeous butterflies at "Sunlit Sunday" this week. They have brought a little bit of summer back to this wintry day. The cat is quite gorgeous as well. You really caught a moment with the photograph of the tabby and the butterfly so close to each other. Beautiful!

How nice to share butterfly photos in winter. They are beautiful. I like the kitty enjoying them too. Visiting from Sunlit Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of your cat looking up and enjoying the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteLove your photos, and your kitty is adorable, love the bench in the snow. I can't seem to grow a butterfly bush, I think I'm just too wet.
ReplyDeleteLovely butterflies. I'm visiting from Sunlit Sunday.

The sight of a butterfly bush, late in the season, covered with butterflies in the low slanting sun, is a memory I'll treasure from last September. Your shots are lovely.
