Despite the lack of rain and hot, H-O-T days, my garden is full of blooms!
This is the time of summer when my garden is filled with pinks and purples.
Yum!
Coneflowers thrive in hot dry weather.
Can you smell the heavenly scent of this stargazer lily?
Yep, that's my black concrete kitty peeking from behind!
A purple & white Laura tall phlox.
Wish I knew where to find the lavender honey this bee is gathering nectar for!

Tiny bicolor eggplant in the garden.
Love the hints of yellow in this pink gladiola!
Early morning rays of sun hit the top of this bed of coneflowers and barberry.

ReplyDeleteYour garden is blooming beautifully! My stargazers have been wonderful this year, and looks like yours are too. I'm very fond of that gladiola you have, I don't think I get enough sun to grow them, but I should at least try!
ReplyDeleteLove your flowers. I notice my coneflowers are thriving too in spite of the temp here in MI.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers! I was just reading about coneflowers in the summer issue of Country Gardens, and after reading about them there, and now here, I definitely want to incorporate them into my landscaping next year. They're quintessentially cottage, aren't they? :)
