After 2 weeks of cool temperatures and drenching rain, there’s a lot blooming in the garden!
Wine & Roses Weigela
Every year I think I should prune this lovely shrub and then I don’t. I think if I prune it, it will fill in more. Then I realize it is filling in slowly by itself…so I leave it alone. It is one of the plants I look forward to blooming every year!
So pretty!
Last one!
Allium
Nora Barlow Columbine
This is the first good year for it!
So pretty and delicate
Lily of the Valley peeking out
It's so nice to have flowers blooming in my yard again!
This week I am linking to:
Visiting from Tuesday Garden Party! The purple allium looks great!
ReplyDeleteWow--I love weigela, and yours is just gorgeous! And that columbine--a double one--so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI can't grow columbine---yours are just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteColumbine are my favs! Lilies of the valley always remind me of my husband's boutonniere at our wedding (and how hard they are to eliminate in the garden, yikes).
ReplyDeleteLove your flowers, everything is so pretty!! It is getting dry here, afraid to plant too much, so I will just enjoy your lovely pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love the weigela. I bought mine a few years ago because of the darker red leaves. We're using them as a shrub barrier between our yard and our neighbor's. We actually planted them while the previous neighbor lived there.
ReplyDeleteI have another one in another bed, and just love the fan shape of the plant. Like you, I don't think I'll ever prune it until it gets too big.
Love your bloomin blooms! Just lovely!Im going to get a Weigela this year as they are so beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing your garden.Deidre http://simplysimplisticated4.blogspot.com

ReplyDeleteWhat a treat to find your blog this morning. I am visiting from Savvy City Farmer's party (I am #13), and I am a new follower.
I am off to investigate weigela to see if it can live in hot zone 9!
