What's Blooming This Week - Rain in August - Hallelujah!

After a long, hot and very dry July, August is looking up in the garden. It rained! It not just rained, it poured! And not just once, it poured rain twice!

Hallelujah!

Hopefully the tomatoes will recover long enough to make tomatoes before the frost gets them. In the flower beds, the rain has revived a few plants so lets see what is blooming...

Pretty pink ruffled petunia
(looks like something else likes it too!)

  1. How lovely everything is looking with just a little rain. We got a little too. Not enough but I'll take it. We may luck out and get some more this week.

  2. I love the Lantana blooms!

What do you plant your fennel in with? I bought a fennel plant and have yet to put it into the ground because I read that not much likes living next to it.

  6. you have a lovely variety of flowers - I am so envious as I did no planting this summer with the heat and I lost a lot of perennials. Enjoy their beauty and have a fun pink weekend.
