With Valentine's Day coming up, I decided to do a romantic dinner for two.
A romantic dinner should have a pretty tablecloth.
Candles and flowers.
Crystal wine glasses.
Pretty floral dishes.
These are my new floral rimmed plates with tulip plates on top.
And tarnished silver plate flatware with a nice patina.
Milkglass vases and candle holder plate is always nice.
And a not-so-subliminal message...
Not the message you were expecting...
Or maybe it is!
Hello Friends!
Welcome to this weeks
Cottage Style Party!
#83
Hearts and flowers.
The stores are full of them.
My usual $3 bunch of discount grocery store roses jumped up to $10 this past weekend.
For roses that won't be alive by Valentine's Day!
Crazy!
What kind of plans do you have for Valentine's?
Let's see shall we...
I just love these easy hand made hearts!
Easy and handmade - my favorite kind of project!

I laughed when I got to your chalkboard message! I hear you about the price of flowers the week of Valentine's Day .. I buy flower pretty regularly . I always tell women - Buy your own flowers! It's empowering! There they are - Right there ! Next to the bakery section! I have carved out a little spot in the back garden for a cutting garden- last fall I rescued some sad specimens from the clearance bin. Don't you love cutting flowers in your own garden?
ReplyDeleteIt is snowing mightily here on the East coast. I have my second cuppa , and am toasting up some challah - looking forward to a nice browse through the party. Thank you for hosting!
