Cottage Style Party & Community Yard Sale Finds!

The town I live in has a community yard sale every year in September.

It's a real family affair with many generations selling their junk together in one huge yard sale.

Even some of the schools have raffles or sell donuts and coffee at the sale.

Some years its good, this year it was great!

Here's what I found…

I found this hand sewn quilt for a cool $25!
It is in mint condition and looks great on my bed.

Wonderful hobnail vase already in use!

A gold demitasse cup and saucer set only 25 cents!

From the same seller, this tiny violet pitcher with under plate.

And this demitasse set also only 25 cents!

Silverplate soup spoons...

butter knives and...

and ladles, oh my!

Opera glasses with case (not shown).

Milkglass Victorian eye cup.

Fenton ruby red hobnail candle holders.

An old tea canister.

You don't even notice the arm missing on one of these charming salt and pepper shakers!
Look at those faces!

A rusty, crusty typewriter with fab green keys!

I spent the weekend playing with my new, old toys!

Hello Friends!

What have you been up to?

I just love Magali's 'back-to-school' mantle!
And how pretty is that stone on either side of it?
Whoa!

Stop by Magali's blog The Little White House on the Seaside to see her collection of vintage school items on her mantle.
Don't miss the unique the foot-warmer box and read about how it was used!

I love this hand painted plate and lovely rose teapot!
So cute next to the Victorian couple in Debbie's curio cabinet.

This curio is one of 3 that Debbie got for being the best neighbor! Drop by her blog Debbie Dabble to see her curio's and how she decorated them!

Love this blue transferware with blueberries in the bowl!
Diane's post isn't just about her vintage dishes, but she has a yummy Blueberry Buckle Coffee Cake recipe too!

Visit her blog An Extraordinary Day to see more of her delicious dishes and get her yummy recipe too!
