It's coneflower week and today's flower of the day is Harvest Moon Coneflower. This coneflower is part of the Big Sky Series of recently hybridized coneflowers. Its blooms are up to 4" across in a golden yellow with just a hint of orange. This perennial blooms best in full sun to part shade in mid summer to fall in lucky zones 4-9.
