Today's flower of the day is Viola Blue Moon. This lovely tri-color violet has an improved tolerance for summer time heat though it still prefers to bloom during the cooler months in spring and fall. It does best in full sun in the cool months to part shade during the heat of the summer in lucky zones 5-8.
